Livio AI
Livio AI was our companies release of a world’s first hearing device that has sensor technology allowing artificial intelligence to track steps, detect falls, translate languages, and more.
Problem: With this being a first to world product not many knew what Artificial Intelligence was or why it would show up in a hearing device and how it might benefit their life. We needed to establish Starkey as an innovation leader.
Creative approach: The creative execution was driven by our push to be technology thought leaders. Our goals were to make the pieces convey innovation and first-class technology we did this through the use of whitespace, iconography and graphic product renderings.
The launch box was an upscale wrapped box that used glitter UV to make sure the sensor popped – when the sleeve was removed the box illuminated making it an amazing window piece in retail shops as well.
Assessment: Professionals were exited about the new technology and the feature/benefits, but they were also overwhelmed. If the team was to redo this launch I would lead with setting up the “why” did we develop this product, what is AI technology and what is a healthable. I would focus on key feature/benefits and educate and excite. I feel the technology push was too heavy of a focus and we lost some of the “why” and real patient benefit behind why we developed the product and how the professional should want their patients lives to benefit from AI technology.
